1 CUP A DAY AND YOU WILL NEVER GET A BLOOD CLOT

Heart-Healthy Turmeric Ginger Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric (or 1 teaspoon fresh turmeric, grated)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • A pinch of black pepper (to enhance the absorption of turmeric)
  • Optional: a dash of cayenne pepper for an extra kick

Instructions:

  1. Boil Water: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small pot or kettle.
  2. Add Ingredients: Add the grated ginger, turmeric, and a pinch of black pepper to the boiling water. If using, add a dash of cayenne pepper as well.
  3. Simmer: Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes. This allows the flavors and beneficial compounds to infuse into the water.
  4. Strain: Remove from heat and strain the tea into a cup to remove the ginger and turmeric pieces.
  5. Add Lemon and Honey: Stir in the fresh lemon juice and honey or maple syrup, if desired, for sweetness.
  6. Serve: Enjoy warm.

Benefits:

  • Ginger and turmeric have anti-inflammatory properties and are thought to improve circulation.
  • Lemon provides vitamin C and antioxidants.
  • Honey offers natural sweetness and has its own antioxidant properties.
  • Black pepper enhances the absorption of curcumin, the active compound in turmeric.

Notes:

  • Consult a Doctor: If you’re on medication or have health concerns, particularly related to blood clotting or anticoagulants, consult with your healthcare provider before incorporating this drink regularly.
  • Moderation: While these ingredients can be part of a healthy diet, they should not replace medical treatment or advice.

Enjoy this tea as a warming and potentially beneficial addition to your daily routine!
