Blueberry Water Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 lemon (optional, for added flavor)
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
- 6-8 cups of cold water
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Rinse the blueberries thoroughly under cold water.
- If using lemon, slice it into thin rounds.
- Gently crush the mint leaves with your fingers to release their flavor.
- Combine Ingredients:
- In a large pitcher, add the blueberries. If you like a stronger flavor, gently muddle (crush) some of the blueberries with a spoon to release their juices.
- Add the lemon slices and mint leaves (if using) to the pitcher.
- Add Water and Ice:
- Pour the cold water into the pitcher over the ingredients. Stir gently to combine.
- Add ice cubes to the pitcher to keep the water cold and refreshing.
- Infuse and Serve:
- Allow the water to sit in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to let the flavors infuse. The longer it sits, the more intense the flavor will be.
- Stir before serving. Pour the infused water into glasses, making sure to include some of the blueberries and lemon slices.
- Enjoy:
- Sip and enjoy this refreshing, antioxidant-rich drink! It’s perfect for a hot day or anytime you want a hydrating and delicious beverage.
Tips:
- You can add other fruits like strawberries, raspberries, or cucumber for a twist.
- To make it a bit sweeter, you can add a little honey or a natural sweetener.
