DIY Vaseline & Cinnamon Hair Growth Mask

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of Vaseline
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (optional, for added moisture)
  • 5 drops of rosemary essential oil (optional, promotes hair growth)

Instructions:

  1. Melt Vaseline: In a small bowl, slightly warm the Vaseline so it softens and becomes easier to mix. You can do this by placing the bowl in warm water for a few minutes or heating it in the microwave for a few seconds (ensure it doesn’t get too hot).
  2. Mix Ingredients: Add the cinnamon powder to the Vaseline and stir well. If you are using coconut oil and rosemary essential oil, add those as well for added benefits.
  3. Apply to Scalp: Using your fingers or a hair dye brush, gently massage the mixture into your scalp. Make sure to cover the entire scalp, focusing on areas where hair is thinner or where you want to promote growth.
  4. Massage: Massage your scalp in circular motions for 5-10 minutes to increase blood circulation, which can encourage hair growth.
  5. Leave on: Leave the mask on for 30-60 minutes. For more intensive treatment, you can wrap your hair in a warm towel or wear a shower cap.
  6. Rinse Off: Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water and a gentle shampoo to remove the mask. You may need to shampoo twice to get rid of the Vaseline completely.
  7. Frequency: Use this mask once or twice a week for best results.

Benefits:

  • Vaseline: Locks in moisture and protects the scalp from dryness.
  • Cinnamon: Stimulates scalp circulation and may have antibacterial properties, which could support a healthier scalp environment.
  • Coconut Oil (optional): Deeply moisturizes and nourishes hair.
  • Rosemary Oil (optional): Encourages hair growth and strengthens hair follicles.

Note: Before applying the mixture to your scalp, do a patch test to make sure you don’t have any allergic reactions to cinnamon or other ingredients.
