Magic Onion Remedy for Cockroach & Lizard Control

Ingredients:

• 1 large onion
• 2-3 garlic cloves (optional, but enhances the effect)
• 1 tablespoon of black pepper powder
• 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
• 1 tablespoon of dish soap or any mild liquid soap
• 2 cups of water
• Spray bottle

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Onion Solution:
   • Finely chop the onion and garlic.
   • In a blender, add the chopped onion, garlic, black pepper powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Add 2 cups of water and blend until smooth.
2. Strain the Mixture:
   • Using a fine strainer or cheesecloth, strain the mixture to remove solid pieces. You want to get as much liquid as possible.
3. Add Soap:
   • Pour the strained liquid into a spray bottle.
   • Add 1 tablespoon of liquid soap to the bottle and shake gently to mix.
4. Use the Spray:
   • Spray the solution around areas where you’ve seen cockroaches or lizards, especially around baseboards, corners, and entry points like windows and doors.
   • Spray directly on cockroaches or lizards if you see them.

How It Works:

• Onion & Garlic: Both have strong sulfur compounds that pests dislike.
• Black Pepper & Cayenne Pepper: These spicy ingredients irritate cockroaches and lizards, discouraging them from staying in the area.
• Soap: It helps to coat the pests, suffocating smaller ones like cockroaches.

Effectiveness:

• Cockroaches and lizards will be deterred within minutes of spraying the solution. You may need to reapply every few days for long-term effectiveness.
