Real vs. Fake Honey Test: Water Dissolution Method

Ingredients/Tools:

• A small bowl or glass
• Water
• A spoonful of honey

Instructions:

1. Take a spoonful of honey and place it in a clear bowl or glass.
2. Add water: Pour some water over the honey in the bowl, enough to cover it completely.
3. Gently swirl the bowl: Swirl it in a circular motion for a few seconds.

Observations:

• Real honey: When you swirl the bowl, real honey tends to settle at the bottom and form a hexagonal pattern similar to a honeycomb. It takes longer to dissolve in water.
• Fake or adulterated honey: It dissolves quickly and smoothly into the water without forming any specific pattern.

This is an easy way to see how real honey has a denser and more natural structure, while fake honey often contains added sugar or syrup that behaves differently in water.
