Ingredients:
- 1 large lemon (or 2 small lemons)
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- 3 cups cold water
- Ice cubes (optional)
- Lemon slices and mint sprigs (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare Ingredients:
- Squeeze the juice from the lemon into a blender or a bowl (if using a hand blender). Remove any seeds.
- Add the chopped ginger and fresh mint leaves.
- Blend:
- Pour the cold water over the lemon juice, ginger, and mint mixture.
- Blend everything until the ginger and mint are finely processed.
- Strain:
- Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove the pulp. You can skip this step if you prefer a more textured juice.
- Sweeten (Optional):
- Stir in honey or maple syrup to add a touch of sweetness. You can adjust based on your preference.
- Serve:
- Pour the juice into glasses over ice cubes. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint for an extra fresh look.
- Chill & Enjoy:
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for a bit to enhance the refreshing taste.
This juice is great for digestion (thanks to ginger) and is naturally cooling with the mint and lemon!
