The Best Chinese Bok Choy Recipe (Ready in 5 Minutes)

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium heads of Bok Choy
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the Bok Choy under cold water, pat dry, and trim off the base. If the leaves are large, cut them into halves or quarters.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until it becomes fragrant.
  3. Add the Bok Choy to the skillet, tossing it with the garlic and oil. Cook for about 2 minutes until the leaves start to wilt.
  4. Drizzle the soy sauce and sesame oil over the Bok Choy. Season with salt and pepper, then stir everything together well.
  5. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the stalks are tender but still slightly crunchy. Remove from the heat and transfer to a serving dish.
  6. For extra flavor and crunch, garnish with toasted sesame seeds if desired.

Enjoy your quick and flavorful Bok Choy!
