Rosemary Alcohol Recipe for Muscle Pain and Cellulite

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (about 100g) fresh rosemary leaves (you can also use dried rosemary if fresh isn’t available)
  • 1 1/2 cups (350 ml) rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol or 70% ethanol)
  • 1 clean, sealable glass jar (mason jar or similar)
  • Cheesecloth or fine strainer
  • Optional: 10 drops of essential oils (such as lavender for relaxation or lemon for added toning effects)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the rosemary:
    • Rinse the fresh rosemary leaves thoroughly and pat them dry. If using dried rosemary, make sure it’s completely dry and free of moisture.
  2. Add rosemary to the jar:
    • Place the rosemary leaves in the glass jar, filling it about halfway.
  3. Add the alcohol:
    • Pour the rubbing alcohol over the rosemary until the leaves are fully submerged.
  4. Seal and store:
    • Close the jar tightly and store it in a cool, dark place. Let the mixture infuse for 2 to 4 weeks, shaking the jar lightly every few days to help the infusion process.
  5. Strain the mixture:
    • After the infusion period, strain the rosemary leaves out of the alcohol using a cheesecloth or fine strainer. Pour the strained liquid into a clean bottle for storage.
  6. Optional Essential Oils:
    • Add a few drops of essential oil for extra skin benefits or scent, and shake well.

How to Use:

  • For Muscle Pain:
    • Apply the rosemary alcohol directly to the affected area. Massage gently in circular motions. The warmth and anti-inflammatory properties of rosemary help to ease muscle tension and pain.
  • For Cellulite:
    • Massage the rosemary alcohol into areas where cellulite is present, like thighs or buttocks. Regular application can improve circulation and tone the skin, reducing the appearance of cellulite over time.

Notes:

  • Use the rosemary alcohol daily or as needed, but avoid applying to broken skin or sensitive areas.
  • Store in a cool, dark place and use within 6 months for maximum potency.

This natural remedy can be an effective part of your self-care routine for soothing muscle pain and improving skin appearance!
