Natural Pest Control Spray Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon dish soap (unscented, biodegradable if possible)
  • 1 tablespoon neem oil (natural insect repellent, especially for garden pests)
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper powder (repels insects with its spicy properties)
  • Optional: 5-10 drops essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, or tea tree (optional but effective against many insects)

Instructions:

  1. Mix the water, dish soap, neem oil, and cayenne pepper in a spray bottle.
  2. Add essential oils if desired, and shake well to combine.
  3. Spray generously on any plants or garden areas affected by bedbugs or other pests. Make sure to get under leaves and in crevices where pests might hide.
  4. Reapply every few days or after heavy rain until the bedbugs are gone.

Tips:

  • Neem oil is safe for most plants, but do a small test patch first to ensure it doesn’t harm sensitive plants.
  • Be cautious when handling cayenne and neem oil as they can irritate skin and eyes.

This mixture can effectively repel bedbugs, aphids, and other common garden pests without chemicals!
