Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon dish soap (unscented, biodegradable if possible)
- 1 tablespoon neem oil (natural insect repellent, especially for garden pests)
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper powder (repels insects with its spicy properties)
- Optional: 5-10 drops essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, or tea tree (optional but effective against many insects)
Instructions:
- Mix the water, dish soap, neem oil, and cayenne pepper in a spray bottle.
- Add essential oils if desired, and shake well to combine.
- Spray generously on any plants or garden areas affected by bedbugs or other pests. Make sure to get under leaves and in crevices where pests might hide.
- Reapply every few days or after heavy rain until the bedbugs are gone.
Tips:
- Neem oil is safe for most plants, but do a small test patch first to ensure it doesn’t harm sensitive plants.
- Be cautious when handling cayenne and neem oil as they can irritate skin and eyes.
This mixture can effectively repel bedbugs, aphids, and other common garden pests without chemicals!
