Whether you’re looking for a natural energy boost, better digestion, or just something refreshing, this drink will satisfy all your needs.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of fresh pineapple (peeled and chopped)
  • 1-2 inches of fresh ginger root (peeled and chopped)
  • 1-2 tablespoons of honey or agave (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 ½ cups of cold water or coconut water (for extra hydration)
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice (optional, for added tang)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for a chilled drink)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Peel and chop the fresh pineapple into chunks.
    • Peel and chop the ginger into small pieces. (Be cautious with ginger, as it can be quite spicy. Adjust the amount based on your preference.)
    • If using, squeeze fresh lime juice to add a bit of citrusy flavor.
  2. Blend the Ingredients:
    • Add the chopped pineapple, ginger, and lime juice (if using) to a blender.
    • Pour in the cold water or coconut water, and blend until smooth. If you’d like a thinner consistency, you can add more water.
  3. Sweeten (Optional):
    • Taste the juice. If it needs extra sweetness, add a tablespoon or two of honey or agave syrup and blend again. Pineapple is already naturally sweet, so you may not need much additional sweetness.
  4. Strain (Optional):
    • For a smoother drink, strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any pulp. If you like a thicker, fiber-filled drink, feel free to skip this step.
  5. Serve:
    • Pour the juice into a glass over ice cubes if you want it chilled.
    • Garnish with a small slice of pineapple or a sprig of mint for a nice touch.
