Cherry Stalk Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of dried cherry stalks (you can collect and dry them yourself or purchase them from a herbal supplier)
  • 2 cups of water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cherry Stalks: If you have fresh cherry stalks, let them dry in a well-ventilated area until they are completely dry. If you have dried stalks, ensure they are clean and free of any impurities.
  2. Boil Water: In a small saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil.
  3. Add Cherry Stalks: Once the water is boiling, add the dried cherry stalks to the saucepan.
  4. Simmer: Reduce the heat to low and let the cherry stalks simmer in the water for about 10-15 minutes. This allows the beneficial compounds to infuse into the water.
  5. Strain: After simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat and strain the liquid into a cup using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  6. Serve: You can drink the tea warm or let it cool down. Optionally, you can add a natural sweetener like honey or a slice of lemon for extra flavor.

Notes:

  • Cherry stalk tea is often consumed for its potential diuretic and detoxifying properties. However, consult with a healthcare provider before using herbal remedies, especially if you have underlying health conditions or are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Enjoy your cherry stalk tea!
