Coffee-Vinegar Marinade

This marinade is perfect for adding a tangy and rich flavor to meats, especially beef or pork. It’s a great way to add complexity to your dishes and is a fun twist on traditional marinades.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients:
    • In a bowl or a jar, combine the brewed coffee, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and honey (or maple syrup). Mix well.
  2. Add Flavorings:
    • Stir in the minced garlic, black pepper, and any optional spices you like, such as smoked paprika or dried herbs. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Marinate:
    • Use the marinade to coat your meat of choice. Place the meat in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, pour the marinade over it, and seal the bag or cover the dish. Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, or overnight for a more intense flavor.
  4. Cook:
    • Remove the meat from the marinade and cook it according to your preferred method (grilling, baking, etc.). Discard the used marinade or bring it to a boil for a few minutes if you wish to use it as a sauce.
  5. Serve:
    • Enjoy your flavorful, tangy, and rich dish!
