Grandma’s Liver and Lung Cleanse Recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium-sized beetroot, peeled and chopped
  • 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 1 apple, cored and chopped
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Wash all the fresh produce thoroughly.
    • Peel and chop the beetroot, carrots, apple, and ginger.
  2. Blending:
    • Add the chopped beetroot, carrots, apple, and ginger into a blender.
    • Pour in 2 cups of water and blend until smooth.
  3. Strain the Mixture (Optional):
    • If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the pulp.
  4. Add Lemon and Parsley:
    • Mix in the fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley. The lemon juice helps detoxify the liver, while parsley is known for its diuretic properties, supporting kidney function.
  5. Optional Enhancements:
    • Stir in honey if you’d like a sweeter taste.
