Twice-a-Week Blender Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of milk (or any milk alternative)
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder (for a chocolate version) or 1/2 cup of berries (for a fruity version)
  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup of almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Put Everything in the Blender: Start by adding the milk and yogurt to the blender. Follow with the banana, oats, and your choice of flavorings (cocoa powder or berries).
  2. Blend: Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides once or twice to ensure everything is well incorporated.
  3. Sweeten It Up: Add honey or maple syrup, almond butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt. Blend again until everything is fully mixed.
  4. Serve: Pour the mixture into small bowls or glasses. You can enjoy it immediately for a smoothie-like consistency or chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes for a thicker, pudding-like texture.
  5. Garnish & Enjoy: Add a sprinkle of oats, a drizzle of honey, or a few berries on top before serving. Enjoy your quick and delicious treat!

Note: This dessert is so simple, you can easily tweak it based on what’s in your kitchen or mood. Plus, it’s healthy enough to enjoy twice a week!
