Anti-Swelling Herbal Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon dried dandelion leaves (acts as a natural diuretic)
  • 1 tablespoon dried ginger root (reduces inflammation and improves circulation)
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley (helps eliminate excess water and toxins)
  • 1 teaspoon dried hibiscus (rich in antioxidants and supports circulation)
  • 1 teaspoon dried nettle leaves (aids in reducing water retention)
  • 1 slice of lemon (optional, for taste and added vitamin C)
  • 2 cups of water
  • Honey to taste (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Boil the Water: Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil in a pot.
  2. Add the Herbs: Once the water is boiling, turn off the heat and add the dandelion leaves, ginger root, parsley, hibiscus, and nettle leaves.
  3. Steep the Tea: Cover the pot and let the herbs steep in the hot water for about 10 minutes. This allows the beneficial properties of the herbs to infuse into the water.
  4. Strain the Tea: After steeping, strain the tea into a cup to remove the herbs.
  5. Add Lemon and Honey: Add a slice of lemon for extra flavor and vitamin C. If you like, you can also add a little honey to sweeten the tea.
  6. Enjoy the Tea: Drink this tea once or twice daily, especially in the evening, to help reduce swelling in your legs, ankles, and feet.

Note: This tea is most effective when combined with other lifestyle changes, such as elevating your legs, reducing salt intake, and staying hydrated. If you have any underlying health conditions or are taking medication, consult with a healthcare provider before regularly consuming herbal teas.
