Chia Seed and Kefir Pudding

Disclaimer: While this combination is popular for its nutritional benefits, it’s essential to consider individual dietary needs and allergies.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1 cup kefir (plain or flavored)
  • Sweetener (optional): honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar
  • Flavorings (optional): vanilla extract, fruit, nuts, or seeds

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a jar or bowl, whisk together the chia seeds and kefir until smooth.
  2. Sweeten and Flavor (optional): Stir in your desired sweetener and flavorings.
  3. Chill: Cover the container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for a thicker consistency. The chia seeds will absorb the liquid and form a pudding-like texture.
  4. Serve: Enjoy your chia seed pudding as is, or top it with additional fruits, nuts, or granola for extra crunch and flavor.

Tips:

  • For a thicker pudding, use less liquid.
  • Experiment with different flavors and toppings to create your perfect combination.
  • Chia seeds can absorb liquids quickly, so make sure to stir the mixture occasionally to prevent clumping.

Nutritional Benefits:

  • Chia seeds are rich in fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants.
  • Kefir is a probiotic-rich dairy drink that supports gut health.

This simple recipe is a healthy and versatile breakfast or snack option. Enjoy!
