Ingredients:
- 10-15 fresh bhindi (okra)
- 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel (optional for extra moisture)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or any preferred oil like olive or argan oil)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 egg yolk (optional, for protein boost)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Bhindi:
- Wash the bhindi thoroughly and chop them into small pieces.
- Add the chopped bhindi to a pot with 2-3 cups of water.
- Boil on medium heat for about 15-20 minutes until the water becomes thick and slimy.
- Strain the mixture to extract the slimy gel-like substance (this is the main ingredient for your keratin-like mask).
- Mix the Ingredients:
- In a bowl, combine the bhindi gel with aloe vera gel, coconut oil, honey, and egg yolk (if using).
- Mix well until you get a smooth paste.
- Application:
- Part your hair into sections for easy application.
- Apply the mask generously to your scalp and hair, focusing on the lengths and tips.
- Massage gently for a few minutes.
- Leave it On:
- Cover your hair with a shower cap or plastic wrap.
- Let the mask sit for 30 minutes to an hour.
- Rinse and Wash:
- Rinse the mask out with lukewarm water.
- Follow up with a mild shampoo and conditioner to remove any residue.
- Optional Heat Treatment:
- For an enhanced keratin-like effect, after applying the mask, you can wrap your hair in a warm towel or use a blow dryer on low heat.
