Flu/Cold Tea Bombs

Ingredients:

  • 2 whole lemons, peeled
  • 2 large bunches of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 1 whole head of garlic, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder (or 2-inch piece of fresh turmeric root, peeled and chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)
  • ½ tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (ACV)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of honey (or to taste)
  • 3 cups of water

Instructions:

  1. Blend Ingredients: Combine all the ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth and well-combined. For a smoother mixture, you can strain it using cheesecloth, as this removes any remaining sediment that a fine mesh sieve might miss.
  2. Portion and Freeze: Pour the strained mixture into a silicone muffin tray, filling each section with about 1/8 cup. Freeze until solid.
  3. Storage: Once frozen, transfer the “tea bombs” to a freezer-safe container or bag for easy storage.
  4. To Serve: When ready to enjoy, place a tea bomb in a mug and pour hot water over it. Stir until dissolved. Adjust sweetness with additional honey if desired.

These tea bombs have a strong, warming kick due to the cayenne pepper—feel free to modify the spice level to suit your taste!
