Ginger Lemon Ice Cubes Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup fresh ginger (peeled and sliced or grated)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2–3 lemons)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey or sweetener of choice (optional, adjust to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ginger Water:
    • In a small pot, add the sliced or grated ginger and 1 cup of water.
    • Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
    • Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
    • Strain the ginger water to remove the ginger pieces.
  2. Mix in Lemon Juice:
    • Once the ginger water has cooled, mix in the fresh lemon juice.
    • If you’d like a sweeter taste, add 1-2 tablespoons of honey or any sweetener while the mixture is still warm so it dissolves easily.
  3. Combine with Water:
    • Add 1 more cup of water to the mixture to dilute it slightly, adjusting the strength of the flavor to your preference.
  4. Pour into Ice Cube Tray:
    • Pour the ginger lemon mixture into an ice cube tray.
  5. Freeze:
    • Place the tray in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until solid.

How to Use:

  • For Cold Drinks: Add a couple of ginger lemon ice cubes to your iced water, iced tea, or sparkling water for a refreshing boost.
  • For Hot Drinks: Place a cube or two into hot water or tea for an instant ginger-lemon infusion.

Enjoy your revitalizing ginger lemon ice cubes!
