Ginger Water Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1–2 inches of fresh ginger root (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 4 cups of water
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional, for extra flavor and vitamin C boost)
  • 1–2 tsp honey (optional, to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ginger: Peel the ginger root and slice it thinly. This will release more flavor and nutrients into the water.
  2. Boil the Water: In a medium-sized pot, bring the water to a boil.
  3. Add Ginger: Add the sliced ginger to the boiling water. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10–15 minutes.
  4. Strain and Serve: After simmering, strain the ginger water into a mug. Add lemon juice and honey if desired, stirring well.
  5. Cool and Enjoy: Allow the ginger water to cool to your preferred temperature and enjoy!

Tips:

  • For an added boost, include a pinch of turmeric or cayenne pepper.
