Ingredients:
- 1 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger (freshly grated or powdered)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- A pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)
- Optional: 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
- Boil the Water: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small pot.
- Add the Spices: Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer. Add the turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper to the water. Stir well to combine.
- Simmer: Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse into the water.
- Strain the Tea: After simmering, remove the pot from the heat. If using fresh ginger, you may want to strain the tea to remove any solid pieces.
- Add Honey and Lemon: Pour the tea into a cup. Add the honey and lemon juice, stirring well until the honey is dissolved. If you’re using apple cider vinegar, add it at this stage.
- Serve: Enjoy the tea warm. You can drink this tea 2-3 times a day, preferably before meals, to help reduce inflammation and support joint health.
