Herbal Infusion with Tree Ingredients

This recipe combines medicinal herbs and tree elements for a refreshing and healing tea blend.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp dried Linden flowers (calming and good for digestion, from the linden tree)
  • 1 tbsp dried Willow bark (pain relief and anti-inflammatory, from the willow tree)
  • 1 tbsp Pine needles (rich in Vitamin C, from pine trees)
  • 1 tsp Honey (optional, natural sweetener)
  • 4 cups boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the herbs: If using dried ingredients, measure out the linden flowers, willow bark, and pine needles.
  2. Steep the infusion: Place all the herbal ingredients in a teapot or a French press. Pour the boiling water over the herbs and cover to let it steep for about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Strain and serve: After steeping, strain the liquid into mugs, discarding the herbs.
  4. Add honey (optional): Stir in honey if you’d like to sweeten the infusion. Enjoy your soothing, medicinal herbal tea.

Benefits:

  • Linden flowers help soothe anxiety and aid sleep.
  • Willow bark is known as nature’s aspirin and can help relieve minor aches and pains.
  • Pine needles are rich in antioxidants and have immune-boosting properties.

This drink offers a holistic way to benefit from trees that provide medicinal properties while also enhancing your health as a homesteader.
