A Corn and Milk Delight
Note: While a whole glass of corn might be a bit ambitious, we can use corn kernels for this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup corn kernels (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup milk
- 1-2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: A splash of vanilla extract
Equipment:
- Blender
- Saucepan
- Fine-mesh sieve
Instructions:
- Combine ingredients: In a blender, combine corn kernels, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract (if using).
- Blend: Blend until smooth. The mixture will be slightly thick.
- Heat (optional): For a warmer drink, pour the mixture into a saucepan and gently heat over low-medium heat, stirring constantly. Be careful not to boil.
- Strain: Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a serving cup to remove any corn bits.
Serve warm or cold.
For a creamier version: You can add a spoonful of Greek yogurt or whipped cream on top.
Enjoy your homemade corn and milk drink!
