Lemon and Clove Infused Water

Ingredients:

  • 1 liter (4 cups) of water
  • 1 lemon (preferably organic)
  • 4-5 whole cloves
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • A few fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Lemon:
    • Slice the lemon thinly, keeping the peel on. The essential oils in the lemon peel add extra flavor and nutrients.
  2. Add Cloves:
    • Take 4-5 whole cloves and gently press them into the lemon slices. This will allow the cloves to release their flavor gradually as they infuse into the water.
  3. Infuse:
    • In a large pitcher, add the lemon slices with cloves, and pour 1 liter of cold water over them.
  4. Optional Add-Ins:
    • You can add a few fresh mint leaves for a refreshing touch or a tablespoon of honey if you’d like a bit of sweetness.
    • Add ice cubes if you prefer cold water.
  5. Let It Steep:
    • Allow the water to infuse for at least 30 minutes. The longer it sits, the stronger the flavor will be.
  6. Serve:
    • Pour the infused water into a glass and enjoy!
