Longevity Elixir: Anti-Aging Herbal Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of hot water (not boiling)
  • 1 teaspoon dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 teaspoon dried rose hips
  • 1 teaspoon dried goji berries
  • 1 teaspoon dried chamomile flowers
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • A few drops of fresh lemon juice
  • A slice of fresh ginger (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Boil Water: Start by boiling water, then let it cool slightly. The water should be hot but not boiling to preserve the delicate properties of the herbs.
  2. Combine Herbs: In a teapot or a large mug, combine the dried hibiscus flowers, dried rose hips, dried goji berries, and dried chamomile flowers.
  3. Steep: Pour the hot water over the herbs. Cover the teapot or mug and let the mixture steep for about 10-15 minutes. This allows the herbs to release their beneficial compounds into the water.
  4. Strain: After steeping, strain the tea to remove the herbs. You can use a fine mesh strainer or a tea infuser for this purpose.
  5. Add Honey and Lemon: If desired, add a teaspoon of honey to sweeten the tea. A few drops of fresh lemon juice can enhance the flavor and add extra vitamin C. For an added kick, you can also include a slice of fresh ginger.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Pour the tea into a cup and enjoy it warm. For a refreshing twist, let it cool and serve over ice.
