Magic Colgate Cockroach Killer Remedy

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of Colgate toothpaste (any type)
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of boric acid powder (easily available at pharmacies)
  • A few drops of water (to form a paste)
  • Small bottle caps or shallow dish to hold the mixture

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the paste:
    • In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of Colgate toothpaste with 1 tablespoon of baking soda. The minty freshness of the toothpaste can confuse pests like cockroaches.
    • Add 1 tablespoon of sugar. Cockroaches are attracted to sweet things, and this will lure them in.
    • Mix in 1 tablespoon of boric acid powder. This is the main ingredient that will kill the cockroaches when ingested.
    • Add a few drops of water to form a thick paste.
  2. Set the trap:
    • Place small amounts of this paste into shallow containers like bottle caps or lids.
    • Position the caps in areas where you’ve seen cockroach activity—kitchen corners, under sinks, behind appliances, etc.
  3. Wait for results:
    • Cockroaches will be attracted to the sugar and toothpaste smell, and they will ingest the boric acid, which will kill them within a few minutes to hours.
    • Repeat the process until the cockroaches are gone.

Tip:

  • Be sure to keep this mixture out of reach of pets and small children, as boric acid can be harmful if ingested by them.

This quick DIY remedy can help you control cockroaches at home in a fast and effective way, making use of common household products!
