However, she has now provided deeper insight into the emotional and mental toll she suffered during her time in the Middle East, where she encountered hostility from fellow female players.
From Rising Star to Relentless Scrutiny
At just 23, Spiranac was making waves as a rising social media personality, gaining popularity for her golf skills and stylish outfits. Her growing online presence led to a sponsor’s invite to the Dubai Ladies Masters, a prestigious tournament that some critics believed was beyond her level of play. Instead of being embraced as an emerging talent, Spiranac found herself the target of severe judgment and baseless accusations.
One of the most damaging rumors suggested that Spiranac had engaged in “sexual favors” to secure her invite—a claim she described as both cruel and humiliating. The accusations spread quickly, with some of her peers in the sport fueling the negativity. Beyond the media scrutiny, Spiranac also faced hostility on the practice range. “I would go out to warm up, and the other girls would just scatter. No one wanted to hit next to me,” she revealed, describing how the rejection took an emotional toll on her confidence.
