Pomegranate Peel Tea Recipe

Pomegranate peels are packed with antioxidants and can be used to make a soothing, immunity-boosting tea.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pomegranate peel (thoroughly washed)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the peel: After enjoying the pomegranate seeds, save the peel and wash it well. Cut the peel into small pieces.
  2. Dry the peel: For longer storage, dry the peel naturally by leaving it in the sun for 2-3 days or use a low-temperature oven (around 150°F or 65°C) for a few hours until fully dried.
  3. Boil the peel: In a small pot, add 2 cups of water and the pomegranate peel pieces. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add flavor: If desired, add a cinnamon stick while simmering for an extra layer of flavor.
  5. Strain and serve: Strain the tea into a cup. Sweeten with honey and add a squeeze of lemon juice if you prefer a tangy, sweet taste.
  6. Enjoy: Sip on this tea to boost your digestion, improve skin health, and take in the benefits of pomegranate peel’s antioxidants.

Bonus Tip:

You can grind dried pomegranate peel into a fine powder and mix it into smoothies, yogurt, or face masks for a nutrient-rich addition!
