The Recipe: Homemade Beetroot Milk
-Ingredients:
1 medium-sized beetroot, peeled and chopped
2 cups milk (cow’s milk, almond milk, or any milk of your choice)
Optional: Honey, maple syrup, or sugar to taste
-Instructions:
1.Boil the Milk: In a saucepan, bring the milk to a gentle boil over medium heat.
2.Add Beetroot: Add the chopped beetroot to the boiling milk and reduce the heat to low.
3.Simmer: Let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the beetroot is soft and tender.
4. Cool Slightly: Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
5.Blend: Using a blender or immersion blender, blend the mixture until smooth and creamy.
6.Strain: Strain the beetroot milk through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any pulp.
7.Sweeten (Optional): Sweeten the milk with honey, maple syrup, or sugar to taste if desired.
8.Chill and Serve: Chill the beetroot milk in the refrigerator until cold, then serve and enjoy!
