powerful homemade fungicide for plants

Ingredients:

1. Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) – 1 tablespoon
   • Baking soda is a natural fungicide that helps combat mildew and fungal infections on plants.
2. Vegetable Oil – 1 tablespoon
   • Vegetable oil acts as an emulsifier, helping the baking soda stick to the plant leaves and providing a coating that prevents fungus from spreading.
3. Water – 1 gallon (3.8 liters)
   • Water is the base that dilutes the mixture, allowing you to spray it evenly over your plants.

Optional Add-On:

• Dish Soap – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dish soap helps break down the oil and ensures the mixture spreads evenly over the plant’s surface.

Instructions:

1. In a large container, mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1 gallon of water until the baking soda dissolves completely.
2. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the mixture. Stir well.
3. If using dish soap, add 1/2 teaspoon of mild dish soap to the solution and mix thoroughly.
4. Pour the solution into a spray bottle for easy application.
5. Spray your plants lightly with the solution, making sure to cover both the tops and undersides of the leaves. Avoid using too much solution to prevent any damage to the leaves.
6. Repeat the treatment every 7-14 days or after rainfall, as needed.

Notes:

• Use this fungicide in the early morning or late afternoon to prevent sunburn on your plants.
• Test on a small portion of the plant first to ensure there’s no adverse reaction before treating the entire plant.
