Recipe: Lemon Stove Top Cleaner

Ingredients:

  • 1 lemon
  • Baking soda (optional)
  • Water (optional)
  • Microfiber cloth or sponge

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Lemon:
    • Cut a lemon in half. If you have a larger stove top, you may want to use both halves.
  2. Apply the Lemon:
    • Take one half of the lemon and rub it directly onto the stove top. Use a gentle, circular motion. The acidity in the lemon juice will help break down grease and grime.
  3. Optional: Add Baking Soda:
    • For tougher stains, sprinkle a small amount of baking soda onto the stove top before rubbing with the lemon. The baking soda acts as a mild abrasive and enhances the cleaning power.
  4. Let it Sit:
    • Allow the lemon juice (and baking soda, if used) to sit on the stove top for a few minutes. This will help loosen any stubborn grime.
  5. Wipe Clean:
    • Use a damp microfiber cloth or sponge to wipe away the lemon juice and any residue. You may need to rinse the cloth and wipe again to remove all the lemon and baking soda.
  6. Final Polish:
    • For a shiny finish, dry the stove top with a clean, dry cloth.

Result:

  • The natural acidity of the lemon will help cut through grease and grime, leaving your stove top clean and shiny. The fresh lemon scent will also leave your kitchen smelling fresh. This method is a natural and eco-friendly alternative to chemical cleaners.
