Ingredients:
- 1 tsp fresh sage leaves (rinsed and chopped) or 1/2 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp loose rooibos tea or 1 rooibos tea bag
- 1 cup boiling water
- Honey or lemon (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- If using fresh sage, rinse and chop the leaves. If using dried sage, measure out 1/2 tsp.
- Set aside the rooibos tea.
- Soak the Sage:
- Place the sage leaves in a mug.
- Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the sage.
- Cover the mug and allow the sage to steep for 5-10 minutes.
- Prepare the Rooibos:
- After the sage has steeped for 5 minutes, add the rooibos tea to the same mug.
- Let it steep with the sage for an additional 5 minutes.
- Strain and Serve:
- Drain the sage and rooibos mixture using a strainer.
- Optionally, add honey or a slice of lemon for extra flavor.
- Enjoy:
- Drink this tea once or twice a day, especially after meals to aid digestion and support gut health.
