Soursop Leaves Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 10 fresh or dried soursop leaves
  • 4 cups of water
  • Honey or lemon (optional for taste)

Instructions:

  1. Clean the Leaves:
    • If using fresh soursop leaves, rinse them thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris.
    • If using dried leaves, ensure they are clean and free from dust.
  2. Boil the Water:
    • In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  3. Add the Soursop Leaves:
    • Once the water is boiling, add the soursop leaves to the pot.
    • Lower the heat to a simmer and cover the pot.
  4. Simmer the Tea:
    • Let the leaves simmer in the water for about 20 to 30 minutes, allowing the flavors and beneficial compounds to extract into the water.
  5. Strain the Tea:
    • After simmering, remove the pot from the heat.
    • Strain the tea to remove the leaves.
  6. Sweeten (Optional):
    • If desired, you can add honey or lemon to enhance the flavor.
  7. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Pour the tea into a cup and enjoy it warm. You can also refrigerate it and drink it cold later.
