Ingredients:
- 1 cup of milk (or any milk alternative)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder (for a chocolate version) or 1/2 cup of berries (for a fruity version)
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 1/4 cup of almond butter or peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Put Everything in the Blender: Start by adding the milk and yogurt to the blender. Follow with the banana, oats, and your choice of flavorings (cocoa powder or berries).
- Blend: Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides once or twice to ensure everything is well incorporated.
- Sweeten It Up: Add honey or maple syrup, almond butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt. Blend again until everything is fully mixed.
- Serve: Pour the mixture into small bowls or glasses. You can enjoy it immediately for a smoothie-like consistency or chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes for a thicker, pudding-like texture.
- Garnish & Enjoy: Add a sprinkle of oats, a drizzle of honey, or a few berries on top before serving. Enjoy your quick and delicious treat!
Note: This dessert is so simple, you can easily tweak it based on what’s in your kitchen or mood. Plus, it’s healthy enough to enjoy twice a week!
